For me, larimar and the ocean are inseparable. This beautiful stone is actually found in the ocean itself—and only in the Dominican Republic, making it incredibly rare and limited in supply. Some of the most prized pieces feature dreamy, bubble-like patterns of light and dark blue set against a turquoise backdrop. Often called the “dolphin stone” or known as a talisman for mermaids and sailors, larimar carries an irresistible oceanic magic. I’ve been swimming in the ocean waves of Santa Cruz, California on my own since I was seven, and back then, I loved diving under the bigger waves and body surfing along with the seaweed and surfers.
